Terms of service

These are the rules of using SortMyChats. We've kept the legalese to a minimum. By signing up, you agree to these terms.

1. What SortMyChats is

SortMyChats is a Chrome extension and accompanying web service that adds folders, filters, and reply alerts to your ServiceTitan messaging inbox. It's a third-party tool — we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by ServiceTitan, Inc.

2. Who can use it

• You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to sign your company up for software.
• You must have a valid ServiceTitan account — SortMyChats only works as an overlay on top of ServiceTitan's web interface.
• One workspace per company. Sharing logins between people is a breach of these terms — each user gets their own seat.

3. Subscriptions, trials, and billing

• Free trial: new workspaces get a 7-day free trial. We collect a card to start the trial but don't charge it until day 7.
• Pricing: per-seat, billed monthly or annually, at the rates posted on our pricing page. We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice to active customers; existing subscriptions keep their current rate through the next renewal.
• Renewals: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period.
• Cancellation: cancel anytime from the Manage Billing button in the extension popup. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access until then.
• Refunds: we don't issue refunds for partial months or years. If something is genuinely broken on our end, email us and we'll make it right.
• Seat changes: you can add or remove seats anytime from the team page; we prorate the charge automatically through Stripe.
• Failed payments: if your card fails, we'll pause your workspace and email you. You can update your card from the Manage Billing button. If payment isn't fixed within 14 days, we'll cancel the subscription.
• Taxes: prices shown are exclusive of any applicable sales tax. Stripe collects sales tax where required.

4. Your responsibilities

• Keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
• Don't share workspace logins between people or use one seat for multiple users — each person gets their own seat.
• Don't try to break, reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell SortMyChats.
• Don't use SortMyChats to do anything illegal or to violate ServiceTitan's terms of service.
• You're responsible for your customers' data inside ServiceTitan — SortMyChats doesn't move that data anywhere, but your relationship with your customers is yours.

5. Our responsibilities

• Keep SortMyChats running. We target 99.5% uptime but don't formally guarantee it.
• Treat your data the way our privacy policy says we will.
• Notify you of any security incident affecting your data within 72 hours of discovering it.
• Give you a way to export your folders and delete your workspace.

6. ServiceTitan's terms still apply

SortMyChats reads what's already on your ServiceTitan screen — we don't talk to ServiceTitan's API. But your use of ServiceTitan is governed by ServiceTitan's own terms with them, and using SortMyChats doesn't change that.

7. Intellectual property

SortMyChats (the extension, web service, branding, and code) belongs to us. Your data (your folders, settings, workspace) belongs to you. We grant you a non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use SortMyChats as long as your subscription is in good standing.

8. Termination

• You can cancel anytime — see the Subscriptions section.
• We can suspend or terminate your workspace if you breach these terms (e.g., reverse-engineering, sharing seats, abuse). For non-payment, we'll email you first.
• On termination, your folder data is deleted within 30 days. Export anything you want to keep before then.

9. Disclaimers

SortMyChats is provided "as is." We do our best to keep it working reliably, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every ServiceTitan UI change. If ServiceTitan changes its interface in a way that breaks SortMyChats, we'll fix it as quickly as we can.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability to you for any claim related to SortMyChats is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas.

12. Changes to these terms

If we materially change these terms, we'll email active workspace owners at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use SortMyChats after that means you accept the new terms.
